Bouldering

Bouldering

boulder-3

Bouldering is a style of rock climbing undertaken without a rope and normally limited to very short climbs over a padded mat called a crash pad or bouldering mat so that a fall will not result in a injury. It is typically practiced on large natural boulders or artificial boulders in gyms and outdoor urban areas. However, it may also be practiced at the base of larger rock faces or indoor rock climbing walls.

We have great selection of boulder problems ranging from V0 to V8

Safety warning

Bouldering is more dangerous then indoor top rope climbing due to lack of safety equipment.

  • Handholds can brake, pull out of plywood or spin unexpectedly.
  • Climber can slip unexpectedly.

The above can cause uncontrolled jump/fall resulting in bad landing.
